About Us
1. RamblingRat are innovative adventures raising awareness for Street Kids International
2. Street Kids International empowers youth around the world to build better futures for themselves.
3. RamblingRat inspires people to make a difference to the lives of youth in their own communities and around the world.
The RamblingRat Project benefiting Street Kids International, are innovative adventures focussing on marginalized youth from around the world.
Created in 2008 by Tim Dennis of Scotland Uk after buying a Tilley hat, the label inside described Tilley’s support for Street Kids International, this was aligned with Tim’s aspirations to help youth worldwide. Followed on by Neil and Silvie Rautenbach, a married South African couple, set to adventure the wildest Africa in September 2010. Raising projects in Ethiopia and hoping to create media awareness for Street Kids International wherever we can.
Why Rambling Rat?
Set up in The year of the Rat we challenge perceptions of street youth by using a cartoon Rat who happens to be called “Dylan”
What do we do?
Endurance.
Visiting remote parts of the world using innovative technology, to challenge ourselves so that we may share real life experiences to inspire others.
Empowerment.
We speak at schools and organizations and set up locally relevant sustainable youth projects to encourage individualism and global freedom.
Awareness.
We promote awareness for the work of Street Kids International a united nations best practice leader in helping street youth from around the world create a more positive life for themselves.
We do this by communicating with the media and encouraging people to support
