Neil and I joined the team of Wessex Wanderers for a weekend (20th – 22nd November) of mud, puddles and wading. We were invited by Alex and Pete of Atlas Overland to join a few them as well as a few other wanderers. Thank you to Scott for recommending us. We were in very good company and enjoyed taking in the sights and experiencing tracks on the Salisbury Plains.
So who are Atlas Overland? They are a specialist adventure tour company based in Market Harborough, Leicester,
who provide off-roading holidays for 4×4 enthusiasts, and have many years of experience in Europe and North Africa. They provide a complete holiday experience for all the
family. Their ‘en route’ options allow for breaks from driving to take part in activities, relax on camp or visit some of the local sights.
Our thanks go to Alex, Pete, Angela, Scott, Mike, Rose and Colin for making the weekend a great one. Also I hope our South African friends, who joined us for the day on Saturday, had a great time… Even the kiddies got to have a go in the mud puddles, under the watchful eyes of all ofcourse, those puddles were pretty deep. This was the first proper opportunity we’ve had to test out our Eyedata 360 CCTV cameras and needless to say I’m impressed with the quality of the system. It’s not often that we get to try out our Howling Moon tent in the stormy weather and it didn’t fail to impress once again with its steadiness in gale force winds.
