HOWLING MOON HELPS HIGHLIGHT PLIGHT OF STREET KIDS -SUPPORTS RAMBLING RAT ON ROUND-THE-WORLD TRIP

Howling Moon is supporting RamblingRat, an innovative round the world expedition raising awareness around the plight of children living in poverty.

We will set off from England across Africa in aid of disadvantaged children and will be relying on Howling Moon camping gear.  As well as testing our own endurance and that of Howling Moon camping canvas, the aim of the ongoing expeditions is to raise awareness for the Street Kids International charity.

We leave England for South Africa via Ethiopia, Africa’s second-most populous country. Four out of ten children under five years old are underweight; four out of ten children sleep on the floor, where night-time temperatures average 5 degrees Celsius.

Howling Moon is part of Jurgens Ci and makes the complete range of tents and canvas accessories for caravan enthusiasts as well as rooftop tents for MPV and 4×4 owners. The company’s factory, which is in Pinetown, has achieved ISO accreditation. That means customers can be absolutely sure of the quality and value of Howling Moon products.

Howling Moon

Howling Moon tents use a base that is a hi-tech vacuum-bonded composite. This type of construction is remarkably strong and surprisingly light, yet at the same time it offers excellent insulation from the cold … a vital consideration around the world and in parts of South Africa too. The canvas is a woven ripstop material made from a blend of polyester and cotton. Polyester gives the fabric its strength and the cotton gives the material improved sewing properties. In particular, seams can be sewn so perfectly they are truly watertight.

Howling Moon products are sold internationally in more than 20 countries.
