UK based Timespace Technology has kindly loaned one of their professional mobile Digital Video recorders for use in the Rambling Rat for Africa vehicle. The recorder forms part of Pro-Edge’s 360°Eye-Data system. Images from the cameras along with data from ISOTRAK’s telemetry tracking unit will be downloaded to the recorder, capturing live events (with embedded GPS location, speed, date and time), as they happen. The Rambling Rat Africa vehicle will be ‘live’ tracked by ISOTRAK from their head office at Milton Keynes. Pro-Edge chose the Timespace recorder as part of their 360°Eye-Data system because of the units’ proven reliability, after sales back-up and image quality.

The new 360°Eye-Data® system is installed into Rambling Rat Car II. ISOTRAK’s World Monitoring (ATMS) system will track the Rat Car on its journey from London to Africa. The data embedded into the images of the vehicle’s 360°Eye-Data® recorder, exactly match the data received by satellite at ISOTRAK’s World Monitoring and Tracking Station.Our sincere thanks to Pro-Edge, ISOTRAK and Timespace Technology for supporting the Rambling Rat project.
